Aimee Lou Wood Reveals The Gift An ‘SNL’ Cast Member Sent Her After ‘Mean And Unfunny’ Skit

Aimee Lou Wood is getting her flowers.

“The White Lotus” actor shared that she received a sweet gesture from “Saturday Night Live” star Sarah Sherman, days after the comedian was in a sketch poking fun at Wood’s appearance.

“Thank you for the beautiful flowers,” Wood wrote on her Instagram, while also tagging Sherman in a picture of the gift on Tuesday.

In the bit, called “The White Potus,” Sherman wore prosthetic front teeth in an attempt to mock Wood’s own smile.

The “Sex Education” actor promptly called out the show, saying that she found the sketch “mean and unfunny.”

“Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple weeks ago,” Woods said via her Instagram stories on Sunday. “Yes, take the piss for sure – that’s what the show is about – but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?”

Woods also clarified that she wasn’t upset with Sherman for the portrayal, and later shared that she “had apologies” from “SNL.”

During the press tour for the third season of “The White Lotus,” Woods has been candid about the insecurities she has surrounding her teeth and the dialogues they’ve prompted.

“The whole conversation is just about my teeth, and it makes me a bit sad because I’m not getting to talk about my work. They think it’s nice because they’re not criticizing,” Woods told GQ in an interview published last week.

“And, I have to go there… I don’t know if it was a man would we be talking about it this much?” she added. “It’s still going on about a woman’s appearance.”
